QUESTION:
Is AQai aware of the other "AQs"? Couldn't it be confusing?
ANSWER:
Yes, we are aware of other "AQs".
First, the Adaptability Quotient (AQ) from Amin Toufani was conceived in 2013/2014 while at Singularity University. Mr. Toufani is the Co-founder & CEO at T Labs. He attended Harvard University and has 3 current jobs, including Co-founder & CEO at T Labs, Chair for Finance & Economics at Singularity University, and Founder of Adaptability University (Adaptability.org). At Adaptability University, you can purchase a half-day event and an individual AQ report. The AQ assessment by Toufani measures AQ differently than AQai's AQ assessment and does not appear to measure the Environment. The model can be found on the website and you can Google search Amin Toufani's keynotes and lectures.
There are other "adaptability" quizzes out there, too. Those are simple surveys and not academically valid assessment tools.
We are also aware of Answer Intelligence (AQ) from Brian Glibkowski and the Adversity Quotient (AQ) from Dr. Paul Stoltz.
Answer Intelligence focuses on the understanding of self and others for improved collaboration and communication. Answer Intelligence, as a complement to Adaptability Intelligence, can help individuals identify and develop response styles that enhance adaptability and resilience in the face of change.
Adversity Quotient focuses on resilience and the ability to overcome adversity. The Adversity Quotient can complement the AQ assessment by providing further insights into an individual's resilience, which is a key aspect of adaptability.
We appreciate that having the same acronyms can be confusing. In our experience, it is best to understand what each is, how they are different, and how they might complement one another.
